Marko Ipatti and co-driver Kari Kajula were forced to retire in this years Neste Rally Finland. Their competition last only four stages. Mitsubishi Lancer`s turbo went broke at the beginning of the third stage and they have to drove slowly also the next stage. After that they were many minutes behind the group N-leader. - Cap to leading car was so bad that there were no sense to continue. First two stages went well, told Ipatti.

Ipatti third after group N WRC start

Marko Ipatti and co-driver Kari Kajula are third after first round of group N World Championship Series. Ipatti started his competion in Rally of Sweden rather slowly. – Tires are not working as we expected. We are not satisfied, told Ipatti after day one. He was 4th among championship-drivers. Next two days were better for Ipatti. He catch up leading car about 30 second and rised 3rd position among championship-drivers.

Ipatti in Group N WRC series

Year 2000 Brittish Rally Champion Finnish Marko Ipatti will contest this year in Group N Production Car World Rally Championship series. He will drive with co-operation with Finnish Rallycar renting service company Rally-Rent Europe with Mitsubishi Lancer. From eight events team choose Sweden, Corsica, Cyprus, Finland, New Sealand and Australia.

- World Rally Championship series is now my target. I`ve won gold in Finnish Championship level and Brittish Rally Championships title, so naturally I`m aiming toward WRC, told Marko.

Marko`s co-driver will be Kari Kajula, as many years before.
